Phase I Site Assessments

Great Plains Environmental has performed various environmental site investigations throughout our region. Each site requires different levels of investigation. Some sites require one level while other sites require numerous levels.

  • The first level of any environmental investigation involves the determination of contamination on site.
  • The second level involves defining the extent of the contamination found.
  • The third level determines if the contamination concentrations are above the recommended action levels for that particular state and if the contamination has migrated into underground utilities or neighboring properties.
  • The fourth level recommends corrective actions to reduce or eliminate the risk.
  • The fifth level implements these corrective action.

Great Plains Environmental has utilized various drilling techniques to meet your specific needs. We have access to large truck-mounted drill rigs, which have the ability to drill through almost any material encountered.

We also have access to four wheel drive pickup-mounted Geoprobe drilling rigs, which are able to obtain access to areas in which a larger drill rig cannot. We also have the capabilities of performing hand borings for areas with very limited access.

If you have any environmental concerns, which may need some investigation, please contact our office for an estimate.
